A War Merit Cross, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte pebbled arms, the overse bearing a central raised Lippe rose situated within a circular laurel leaf wreath, the six oclock arm bearing an institution date of 1914, the twelve oclock arm bearing a monogram of Prince Leopold IV,
