A United States Civil War Era New York State 2Nd Excelsior Brigade Shako Cap Badge Hold 41 mm x 43 mmThis shako badge is crafted out of thin stamped brass and was used to adorn the Shako caps worn by the brigades infantry regiments. The Excelsior badges depict an American Bald Eagle clutching the Excelsior banner with 2 in the center, with both attachment loops still intact on the reverse.
