Vintage Edgar Allan Poe "Portrait" T-Shirt Pants The Shawnee people have beenEdgar Allen Poe was an American writer born in 1809. Poe was an editor and wrote literary criticism, but he was best known for his poetry and short stories. Most of his work was dark and kind of spooky. He was very influential on the mystery, sci fi, and detective genres. Some of his most famous works include "The Raven," "The Cask Of Amontillado," and "The Tell Tale Heart," but he has many, many works beyond that. Poe died in 1849 in Baltimore, MD.
