Craft distilleries used to be popular in Chicago in the times and reigns of Big Al, but after the prohibition they were all shut down. It wasnt until 2008, when the Koval distillery re ignited the trade in Chicago. It's one of the first small batch distilleries in Chicago, and one of the leading craft distilleries in the US. It was founded in 2008 by a young couple, Robert and Sonat, who chose to follow their hearts, instead of a
