The fruit is hand harvested with multiple passes through the vineyards and the wine spends 11 months on fine lees

Babo Nero d'Avola 2020 Size::1 Bottle apple and quince aromas aboundThe wine has a lot of Mediterranean about it, though its agile mouthfeel and supple, almost Beaujolais like fleshy feel make this quite a unique example to the variety. Perhaps this shouldn't be a surprise; the wine has plenty of semi carbonic influence (including 10% whole bunches) and is aged in massive French oak casks for 10 months before bottling.
