Somalia, Republic. An Order of the Somali Star, II. Class Grand Officer Republic of George Society of New York(Amarka Xiddiga Soomaaliyeed). Instituted in 1961. Constructed of silver gilt with light blue and white enamels, consisting of a five pointed enameled star with light blue and white enameled arms and ball finals, the obverse with a central white enameled medallion bearing a leftward facing leopard, the reverse with a similar white enameled medallion bearing the monogram of interlocking Latin letters R and S in gilt, suspended from a swivelling green
