Vignerons d'Estezargues Cuvée Des Copains 2017 is a French Grenache Shiraz/Syrah style red wine from the Rhone region in France

with notes of ripe mandarin freshly baked brioche

The wine shows excellent fruit intensity and silky texture

The Rum was then distilled in copper double retort pot stills

Yields were quite good for the pinot but not so much for the chardonnay as there was quite a bit of shatter during the flowering

One completely de stemmed and partially crushed and fermented in stainless steel. The other parcel was fermented in an open top concrete vessel with lightly treaded, 100% whole clusters. The wines were pressed to a combination of barrique, demi, and puncheons (some new). The wine was blended in October, then bottled in February 2024.
