Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt. An Honour Cross, Iii Class Knight With Oak Leaves, C.1917 Auction the highest award for bravery(Ehrenkreuz III. Klasse mit Eichenlaub). Instituted 28 May 1857 by Gnther Friedrich Karl II. (1915 1918 issue). A silver Maltese Cross, on loop for suspension with bronze oak leaves bearing dates 1914 1916, the obverse with a silver gilt center applique with a gilt lion rampant on a blue enameled background, within an intricately patterned frame, the reverse bearing a silver center applique with a royal monogram of Gnther Friedrich Carl, measuring 39.
