most of which are sewn in place to a wool base

Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, surrounding a pebbled oval field, bearing a raised inscription of SCHLAGETER, with a Latin Cross extending from the top edge, in turn flanked by RHEIN RUHR 1923 24 campaign clasps, the reverse with four visible clips securing the clasps in position, with a vertical pinback affixed to a crimped
