Of French manufacture, in bronze gilt, consisting of a red enameled Maltese cross with ball finials, swords in each quadrant overlaid with a Russian Imperial Eagle, obverse centre presenting "SS" for Saint Stanislaus on white enamels and a green laurel surround, reverse centre also presenting the "SS" monogram, hallmarked with a boars head on horizontally pierced suspension ball denoting French manufacture and small silver
