Constructed of gilded and silvered bronze with multi coloured enamels, the obverse featuring a gilded centrepiece bearing raised and rightward facing profiles of Emperor Franz Joseph and Kaiser Wilhelm II, surrounded by a green enameled laurel branch border, in turn surrounded by a black enameled ring featuring red, white, and black German Imperial tri colour pennants at the corners, the reverse with a clip hinge and horizontal pinback
