while the structure is also fully encompassed by a beige rayon liner

A well preserved Luftwaffe Officers visor cap, constructed of dark grey wool. The cap is fully surrounded by reinforced side walls which are lined on the exterior with a ribbed black mohair cap band. Lengths of silver aluminum wire piping trim both the top and bottom edges of the cap band, while an additional band of identical piping trims the outer edge of the crown. Stitched onto the peak is an insignia
