Hardshelled, wooden framed, red simulated cloth exterior, marked with a gilt cypher of King Michael I of Romania on the lid, maker marked "JOSEF RESCH FIUL BUCHAREST" on the padded white satin lining on the inside lid, raised platform with a recessed medal bed for the badge and a slotted medal bed for the breast star, dual latch closure, dual hinged, undulation along with soiling and wear evident in the red
