Constructed of bronzed feinzink, the obverse consisting of a crossed bayonet and stick grenade inside of a square oak leaf wreath, topped by a German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, flanked on each side by four sunrays and four oak leaves, the centerpiece with a magnetic metal backplate, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal banjo style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with the logo of
