A 34th Infantry Battalion Cap Badge, Type I with "34" within a circle Auction Archive unmarked but demonstrating the characteristicsIn browning copper, unmarked, measuring 35. 8 mm (w) x 38 mm (h), both lugs intact, extremely fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised and mobilized in Guelph, Ontario under the authority of G. O. 86, July 1, 1915. The Battalion sailed October 23, 1915 with a strength of 41 officers and 1,102 other ranks under the command of Lieutenant Colonel A. J. Oliver. In England, the Battalion was reorganized as the "Boys Battalion" and ultimately disbanded.
