How they are made. We use an ancient Japanese wood burning technique called shou sugi ban. The process involves charring the wood which we do with a blow torch. Then cooling and cleaning the charred wood and finally oiling them with food grade mineral oil. They have a durable finish because we dont use any stains or dyes.
