Polished Magnesite specimen. MAP168 #gemstone 70 million years (Cretaceous)MAP168. Magnesite (Lemon chrysoprase) rough rock, cut and polished on one side with a natural back. Dimensions at widest points approximately 100 mm x 60 mm x 35 mm thick. Weighs 366 grams. The subtle lime green colouration is caused by the presence of nickel mineralisation. From Eucalyptus, north of Kalgoorlie , Western Australia.
