Obverse features the relief image of Abraham Lincoln surrounded by the motto WITH MALICE TOWARD NONE WITH CHARITY FOR ALL, reverse bears the words "The Civil War 1861 1865" encircled by a wreath, on original ribbon with pinback, very fine condition. Footnote: This medal was instituted in 1905, with the Army Civil War Campaign Medal being instituted on 21 January 1907. It was awarded for service in the American Civil War between
