Exceptional Venetian or Northern Italian Console Lacca Povera, C. 1740 Sidechairs Lord Chesterfield and Baron RothschildAn exceptionally rare Venetian or Northern Italian free standing console, circa 1740, retaining its original lacca povera decoration. The shaped top rests on tapered legs joined by a sinuous stretcher, while the apron is adorned with stylized pendants in layered gilt and polychrome.
