Style / Variety: Lambic ale brewed with cherries
This year the fruit asserts itself whilst the artefact shadows - supporting but not interrupting the fruits pristine performance
"Grown at Manton Creek during the cool slow ripening 2004 season in Mornington Peninsula
Conditions during harvest were excellent with steady warm weather leading to easy ripening and excellent quality
After 8 months in the barrel we aged the beer in the bottle for another 6 months and the outcome is something reminiscent of a tart saison
Chateau de Beaucastel - Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2017 375ml special~carwynselector Style / Variety: Lambic ale"At Beaucastel the Grenache and Cinsault are fermented in cement while the Syrah and Mourvdre are fermented in foudre. The result features finely pixellated fruits of the forest on the nose, with a full bodied but mightily fresh and lively palate. The Mourvdre element is strong this year, bringing vibrancy and power. It's firmly savoury, very dry and dramatic. A very tannic year has produced a seriously structured Beaucastel for the long term." 95
