This is a vintage pair of Japanese wooden dolls known as kokeshi
The lidded top opens by pushing a side button and closes securely when the lid is closed
This plate has been stored in its original storage box (see last picture - box is not included)
This is an antique Japanese tansu known as a kodansu
This chest has been well used yet well loved
Antique Japanese (C1860) Chado Hibashi Fire Chopstickscast Iron 11" Ranma This is a vintage pairThis is an antique Japanese early 1800's (c. 1860's) set ofcast iron hibashi (fire chopsticks). They were used to move burning hot coals from one place to another and also to tend the coals while they burned in a hibachi. Used traditionally in Chado tea ceremony. The handle end plain while the tapered end is pitted and textured from use. Having been well used yet well loved, these hibashi are slightly different lengths (as seen in pic 4) they remain
