Old Map of Chicago, 1931 - Birdseye Map of Downtown, Grant Park, Central, Magnificent Mile, Lake Michigan, Suburbs kent Bognor RegisThis strikingly beautiful and interesting birds eye map is one of the first and most accurate maps of modern Chicago. It was designed by Charles Turzak and Henry T. Chapman and published in 1931. The map looks at the city from a point above Lake Michigan, looking west across the city. In the foreground is Grant Park and Navy Pier, and then of course all of Downtown Chicago and its high rise buildings including City Hall. Most streets are labelled, but
