Their friend Man Ray took a celebrated portrait of Karin in 1929 that appeared widely in the French and British press
However in the mid-1950s he met the 16 year old Claire while she was working as an artists model
Arthur Middleton Todd RA (1891-1966)
On his death in 2006 it was thought he was the last surviving WPA artist
