Schmolzer & Brown - Halbinsel Pinot Gris 2020 750ml COL-Cellar "We had an incredible beer"This is a 2020 skin fermented Pinot gris, from the McRae Mist vineyard in Tuerong on the Mornington Peninsula. We make skinsy gris very much similarly to Pinot noir: its destemmed whole berries fermented in flowerpot for around three weeks, before pressing to very old puncheons for maturation. We do however pick at white wine ripeness to conserve acidity. Its on lees for ten months before a light sulfuring pre bottling. This is one of our favourite
