incorporating various figures at each end - perhaps scenes of travellers leaving or arriving home

without any carved decoration other than the shaped aprons below each seat and the small spandrels under the curved armrests

They would have been used for food and each have a thick outer rim and wonderful patina from years of use. Great as fruit bowls or just for decoration.
