The lidded top section is divided into two areas. This type of tansu chest was used to store valuables as well as equipment for the person of the house to do repairs on Kimono and bedding. Width = 11. 5" (29cm) Depth = 7" (18cm) Height = 9" (23cm) This haribako has mulberry wood face and paulownia (kiri) wood drawer interiors with keyaki top and sides.
