These are the official shoes to wear with traditional Japanese clothing and before a tea ceremony. the straw is intricately woven together as can be seen in pictures 6 and 7. They measure 8 1 2" long by 3 1 4" wide. It's about 7" from the toe strap to the back of the heel.
