Antique Japanese Wooden Mokugyo Buddhist Drum 16"H Rug The nakago is unsigned (mumei)This is an antique Japanese Mokugyo from the early to mid 20th century. Used as a Buddhist and Zen temple drum. Hand carved and made from one piece of keyaki or Japanse elm. There is flowing calligraphy carved on the front additional writing on the back.
