Most of these plants have a dormancy period, and the new roots of these plants will always grow every year. Lachenalia is named after the Swiss botanist Werner de Lachenal (1736 1800) Pale Blue flowers with cream inner segments and 1 or 2 spotted leaves. Grows to 20cm and is best planted in autumn for winter to spring
