Cephalaria gigantea | Giant Scabious Naomi Slade Our natural world transforms everyCephalaria gigantea also known as giant yellow scabious is a clump forming perennial and has big 6cm wide lemon coloured flowers that are as the name suggests, very similar to that of a Scabiosa. The basal foliage though is only about 60cm wide and bushy the word giant really comes from the tall airy stems of flowers as in my garden the clumps of foliage are only about 50 60cm high with the flowers that float above the foliage.
