現代を代表する写真家・ヴォルフガング・ティルマンス（Wolfgang Tillmans）の作品集。ティルマンスがドイツの出版社TASCHENより刊行した過去4冊の写真集を編集し、30年にわたる作品をまとめた作品集。初期の友人たちのポートレートから、静物、旅行写真、ヌード、風景、空の写真、そして抽象的な作品に至るまで、ティルマンスは紛れもない視覚言語によって数々の象徴的な作品を生み出し、写真と現代美術の双方に可能性を切り拓いてきました。2000年には、写真家として初めて、また英国人以外で初めてターナー賞を受賞しています。
