1898-46 Hama General View of the Al-Kaylaniya Neighborhood Framed Vintage Photo Antioch This is a hi-resGeneral view of Hama with focus on the now destroyed (in 1982) Al Kaylaniya neighborhood ( ), Al Baz waterwheel ( ) and hints of the Al Kaylaniya bridge ( ) on the eastern bank of the Orontes river ( ). The original Al Nuri Mosque ( ), also destroyed in 1982 but restored, can be seen on the western bank (on the right). While this dry plate negative (reprint) is dated between 1898 1946, it is likley the photo taken between 1920 1939 by the American
