本書は、2007年にスイスのアーティストインレジデンスに参加した際に撮影した写真と日記をまとめた作品集。これらの写真は、長島の亡くなった祖父の家から見つかった、80年代に祖母が撮影した花の写真にインスパイアされており、デビュー以来常に「家族」というテーマのもとに写真を撮影してきた長島による、スイスの草花や、部屋の光景、一緒にいた息子などの写真が収録されています。写真やテキスト、クラフトペーパーのページの間には、航空券のしおりやメモ書きなどが挟み込まれ、スイスの澄んだ空気の中で生まれた写真と言葉をそのまま束ねたスクラップブックのようなフォトエッセイの名作。
