This map was originally handcoloured almost exactly 450 years ago and has been lovingly restored by The Unique Maps Co. Back in 1572, our understanding of the world wasn't quite what it is today. North America looks (mostly) right at least up until the Alaska bit where things start going a little crazy. South America well, that looks very odd indeed! This map was published just as Europe had started colonising the Americas,
