This undated Arabic language map was likely published in the 1930's in Damascus and created by Syrian cartographer Hamdi Tarabein (حمدي طربين)

It proudly features the Syrian Golden Eagle on the front – a symbol of protection and dignity – paired on the back with “Syrian Arab Republic” rendered in the new Arabic script and in English

one can spend hours admiring its detail

and it later became associated with the Naqshbandi Sufi order and was also known as the Naqshbandi Mosque (جَامِع النَّقْشَبَنْدِي)
